In a Select vs Select matchup on Sunday morning, Jack helped lead his squad to a win. He put together a big first half, showcasing a smooth jumper on the perimeter at 6’3. Jack has a bit of a slow-mo game where he’s just under control at all times, and makes things look effortless as he creates space with a variety of shot-fakes and jabs. Burke was knocking down shot after shot from both three and mid-range to help his team build up a big lead early on. Has a high release point that makes it difficult to contest when combined with his 6’3 frame.

Drew got off to a strong start against Minnesota Heat Academic. To start off the game he went to work with a low-post finish, before going on to hit four 3’s in just the first half. Drew showcased a good mix of back-to-the-basket game at 6’6, combined with soft touch beyond the arc that forced opposing bigs to step out and play him tight. Kolander has a long wingspan that helps him play even bigger than his 6’6 size, and he used it to control the glass throughout the game. Helped lead his Northstar Titans team to a big win.

Jackson is one of the best shooters in Minnesota’s 2025 class. When he gets into a rhythm there just isn’t much you can do to slow him down. Against MN Heat Academic he was draining shots both off the catch and dribble. He’s not going to come out and force his game, but if he hits a couple of open looks early, Jackson has the ability to put the ball on the floor and go get a bucket. Jackson showed his ability to put up points in a hurry as he helped lead Northstar Titans to a 69-39 win.

Malachi just couldn’t be stopped on Sunday. In the semi-finals he helped lead his team past Hoop City with his suffocating defense. Hill was all over the place coming up with steals, and using his quickness to get all the way to the rim for transition finishes. Then in the championship game he stepped up to an even higher level. Malachi scored 28 of his team’s 47 points as he got to the rim at will. He just has the ability to elevate and hang in the air to finish in traffic. In a game that went down to the wire Hill looked unfazed and played with the poise of an upperclassman.

Minnesota Select has a lot of guys that can step up and put up points when called upon. In the 17u title game it was Riley Johnson Riley Johnson 6'4" | SG Chanhassen | 2025 State MN . He played with a lot of toughness and confidence, hitting some big shots from beyond the arc as Select built up a substantial lead and fought to keep it most of the game. Got into a bit of a rhythm where as soon as the ball hit his hands, a shot was going up and three points were added to the scoreboard. As evident by a 42 point game during his junior season, Riley is one of those players who can put up points in bulk.

Despite the tough loss to Northstar Titans , Nate had some nice moments for Minnesota Heat Academic. He’s put together a strong spring stretching the floor as a shooter with his 6’6 frame, while also showcasing his defensive versatility. Able to use his long frame as a shot blocker while also moving well enough to defend out on the perimeter. Showed some athleticism in the open floor with a transition dunk towards the end of the game. Prospect who continues to stand out this spring.

There aren’t many wings who match Brooks’ combination of size, strength, and explosiveness. In both the semi-finals and championship game Brooks found success getting to the rim and finishing off the dribble. Although there were a few instances where he drove into traffic and ended up losing the ball, he was so dangerous when he played off two feet. When playing off two feet Brooks was able to put his strength to use and overpower opposing wings as he went up balanced to finish. Also capped off the 17u championship game with an explosive dunk along the baseline.
